Japan Winter Workshop
Terms and Conditions
To reserve your spot a 25% deposit is required. The final balance of the workshop fee is due no later than 60 days before the start of the trip. Space is subject to cancellation by Aperture Tours if payments are not received when due.
We would be sorry if you had to cancel, but we understand that sometimes unforeseen situations arise that require cancelling of a workshop booking. Should you wish to cancel your booking you must advise us in writing. The following cancelation fees are incured:
- 91+ days prior to departure date: 25% of the workshop fee
- 61 - 90 days prior departure date: 50 % of the workshop fee
- 31 - 60 days prior departure date: 75 % of the workshop fee
- 30 - days or less prior departure date: 100 % of the workshop fee
Aperture Tours reserves the right to cancel a Photography Workshop before departure due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case your entire registration fee will be transferred to another Photography Workshop or refunded to you at your discretion.
The Workshop requires a minimum of three paying participants to operate, if we fail to reach this number before 60 days before the commencement of the tour, the workshop will be automatically cancelled and your registration will be transferred to another Photography Workshop or refunded to you at your discretion.
Photographer Andy Yee will be present if the workshop has thee or more participants. Photographer Paul Pichigun will be present if the workshop has four or more participants.
Subject to Change
Itineraries have been carefully designed to assure participants the best each destination has to offer; however, should events arise that are beyond our control such as weather, airline strikes or delays, natural phenomenon etc.)., activities and hotel arrangements are subject to change without notice. The itineraries summarise typical areas you will explore. Since it might not be possible to visit all of them, your guides will plan each day considering the interests of the group and the weather at hand. Be assured that we will make substitutions that are as similar in quality and interest if necessary.
Health and Fitness
Anyone who is reasonably fit should be able to take part in most of the activities. If you have any special needs or any physical condition that you feel might prevent you from fully participating, please make us aware when registering for the tour or email us in advance with your questions or concerns.
Limitation of Liability
Aperture Tours aim to provide every participant with a safe, educational and enjoyable experience during the workshops. As there is always an element of risk associated with the outdoors and travel in general, we accept no responsibility for any personal injury, damage, loss, theft, accident, delay, or additional expenses associated with Photography Workshop participation.
Aperture Tours may contract with independent contractors to provide transportation, guide services and/or all other related travel services. We assume no responsibility, however, caused, for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service provided by an independent contractor. Aperture Tours does not give any warranty or guarantee subsidiary services supplied by a third party as to their quality, fitness for purpose or otherwise but shall, where possible, assign to you the benefit of any warranty, guarantee or indemnity given by the person supplying those services.
Each participant must be covered by medical insurance that is valid overseas. Travel insurance is vital to protect your trip investment and yourself while travelling. The applicant's travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability. Aperture Tours recommend that you purchase travel insurance also for reimbursement of the tour costs if you need to cancel after the deadline.
Travel insurance helps to minimise the risk of monetary losses you would incur in the event of a delay of your departure due to weather, airline strike, missed connection, etc., your inability to travel for reasons such as illness, injury, unforeseen financial complications and other personal circumstances, or if you were required to cut the Trip short for medical or any other reasons.
We recommend that you secure enough travel insurance to provide adequate cover for the camera equipment you will be bringing on the Photography Workshop. You bring your camera equipment at your own risk. It is up to you to keep it safe at all times during the tour and is well protected from any adverse conditions we may encounter while on the tour.
The Client is responsible for possessing a valid passport and all required visa permits at the time of travel, as well as making arrangements for all required vaccinations or any other travel requirements for each of the countries visited during the trip. Aperture Tours will provide information about these requirements, but any recommendations about these matters and related subjects will be given in good faith and without any responsibility on the part of Aperture Tours.
All prices are based on double occupancy. Limited Single Suppliment accomidation is available on a first come, first served basis. Once this limit has been meet, no additional single suppliments are available.
Aperture Tours reserve the right to take photographs or videos during the operation of the tour and to use resulting photographs, videos of individuals on tour for use for promotional and publicity purposes. We also reserve the right to use clients photographs for promotional and publicity purposes, when submitted to Aperture Tours.
