Clara Abi Nader
After getting my bachelor degree in Photography from The Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts, I came to Paris for a masters in filmmaking. I became passionate about photography while taking portraits of my family and entourage. I developed a sense of narrative and slowly developed an interest in the cinematic quality of the pictures I was creating. By submerging myself in the visual world of cinema, I pushed myself to create works that tell a story and turn the mundane into magnificence.

Reviews for Clara
So I was headed to Paris for 5 days with extended family and while searching for activities, stumbled upon Aperture Tours on Tripadvisor and a few other websites. They offered an interesting walking night tour of Paris with a professional photographer at what I thought was a reasonable price. I booked it and was allowed to bring three guests with me without any charge as long as they were not photographers as well. My 20 year old Nephew joined me while the rest of the group left for a Seine river cruise.
As instructed, I met with my guide for the evening - Clara, at Notre Dam at 9pm. We spent a few minutes understanding my skill level and expectations from the tour. We then started to walk along the river and over the next three hours covered some very interesting perspectives of Paris. Clara is a very affable person and offered advice and tips when I asked her or if she saw me doing something absolutely wrong. While I have been pursuing photography as a hobby for over 12 years, there were a lot of aspects to night time photography that I wasn't aware of and was glad to have Clara share her thoughts and knowledge with me.
We ended the tour with a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower with the Seine River in the foreground. Looking back, I think the value of such a tour is in the spots that you are taken to and the advice that is given to help you capture your perfect picture. I cannot be happier to know that Aperture tours are operating in multiple cities around the world and will certainly be taking their tours in another city when the opportunity presents itself.
Even if you are remotely into photography, do not think twice about doing this tour!
An Excellent Paris Experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My street photography tour was an excellent experience that provided a unique introduction to the streets of Paris. I had the opportunity to talk "shop" with my guide Clara while walking the lesser known streets, alleys, and courtyards of Paris. It was quite nice to hear some of the quieter sounds of Paris, away from the busy streets, honking horns, and noisy pedestrians.
Clara had stressed the importance of taking photographs with intent and conveying that meaning in the photograph itself. She also provided me with differing perspectives that really helped to improve my photographs. Finally, Clara outlined a few good rules of the road for street photography, such as anticipating moments and not dwelling for too long on a particular shot.
I highly recommend for anyone with an interest in photography, no matter the experience level.
Private Photo Tour with Clara ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Clara was amazing and provided a lot of technical instruction on long exposure to our group of three amateur photographers. She was a great teacher and took us to a couple of amazing places and at each stop, taught us something new. I have done several photo tours and find them to come in three categories: Ones that are more tours of the city; ones that are more camera instructional and technical and finally, those that are a 50/50 mix of the two. On this one, we were really looking for instructional and technical and Clara was responsive to that. The best photo tour I have ever taken!

Outstanding Night Time Photography Experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had a wonderful experience learning how to improve my nighttime, long exposure photography with Clara Nader. She is a wonderful instructor who offers needed/requested suggestions and then backs off to allow the photographer, me, to further sort the shot out. I learned a lot from her and made some amazing images. Clara also took me to some of the iconic Paris locations to make my images.
Thank you Clara for providing me with the experience I was looking for.
